May and June Wrap Up

I went to Hawaii in June for a family reunion and I had such a blast! First of all, it was fantastic to see so many of my family members in one place, at one time. I hadn’t seen some of my cousins in years so I loved having a chance to catch up with them. Second of all, it was me and my husband’s first time visiting Hawaii (we were on Oahu!). It was so beautiful and we loved it! That’s my husband in the picture above, jumping off a big rock into Waimea Bay! (#nofilter – seriously! These pics on the right have an Instagram filter though 😛 ) I did it too, but with much less courage LOL. We hope to go back one day,IMG_3040 maybe even a different island next time! I’m planning on posting some footage from my trip on my YouTube channel once I get it edited.

However, I’ve been in such a blogging slump ever since I got back! I only posted TWICE in June, after having a pretty productive month in May. I’m definitely NOT in a reading slump though – I set a personal record in May with 8 books read and 5 read in June! Now I just need to write all these reviews LOL. I recently started reading more than one book at once and I think that has helped me finish more books IMG_3042each month. I was also reading a lot of the ARCs I got from YALLWEST from the end of April and they motivated me to read a lot!

I’m hoping to get out of this blogging slump soon! It’s already halfway through July and this is my first post of the month. 🙁 I’ve still been fairly active on my Twitter account, so come visit me over there! I also recently decided to join Snapchat – my SnapCode is pinned to my Twitter profile if you want to keep up with what I’m reading in real time.

I’ve been in a BookTube slump too! I’m still working on my video wrap ups for April – yes I said APRIL. *hides* Even though they are super late, I already put work into them so I figure I might as well post them. 🙂 I have a bunch of other back logged videos (like vlogs!) and ideas for future videos – I can’t wait to get back into making videos again. Glad to have you back! I’ve been in a reading slump lately that I’ve just come out of these past two weeks. Book release took a lot more out of me than I was expecting it to, and it feels so good to get back into a rhythm. It sounds like you had a fantastic time though (and got some GREAT pictures!) I hope you find your blogging and booktubing rhythm again soon, and keep setting awesome records with your reading!

Oh my gosh how amazing is it that you got to go to Hawaii?!?!?! It’s definitely a bucket list place for me to visit. Congrats on having such a productive reading month! I love months where I have tons of time to read 🙂 I’m so happy that you enjoyed My Lady Jane! It’s tied for the best book I read this year.
