Series I’ve Quit

» 29 September, 2017 » BookTube Videos, Other Posts » 3 comments

This week on my booktube channel, I talked about all the series I’ve decided to quit (DNF) after reading at least the first book in the series. I love series but there are so many of them out there to read! I try not to continue reading after the first or second book unless I’m really hooked on the series. I was a little nervous to make this video because a few of the series on this list are unpopular opinions – so standard disclaimer that these are my opinions and please don’t take offense if one of your favorite series is one I’ve decided to DNF. Check out my video or scroll down to see the list!

I honestly haven’t picked any of these up to read, although I do have the majority of them sitting on my shelf. I quit The Maze Runner series recently. I read the first two books and thought “Wow, this is terrible,” and just stopped reading it. I can’t remember what other series I quit recently, though – I tend to stay away from series to start with because my attention span is awful, haha. This is an interesting list, though!

I have to admit that I always have a hard time decided to not continue a series anymore because it’s always difficult for me to leave things uncompleted 😀

So even when I don’t enjoy a first book in a series that much and know that there are many other series that rather deserve my attention I always leave the sequels on my wishlist to maybe finish them one day – which usually never happens 😀

I’m a bit sad you didn’t like “The Diviners” enough to continue the series since I really liked the first two books but I know that they were quite slow and I totally understand when it wasn’t really your cup of tea.
