Wheel of Time Readalong | Announcement

Yesterday, I announced on my YouTube channel that Roya @ Unicorn Hunter Books and I will be hosting a readalong starting in January 2018! We will be reading the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan.

How It Works

The way this readalong will work is that everyone will read the series at their own pace. Roya and I will be hosting liveshows once a month to discuss each book in the series, with the first liveshow taking place in early February. This gives everyone participating the full month of January to read the first book in the series, The Eye of the World. Feel free to read on ahead if you don’t feel like holding back! In the liveshow, we will discuss the book for the past month WITH SPOILERS, so probably best to avoid the liveshow if you haven’t finished the book. We also have a Goodreads group that people can join. We will split up the books into multiple discussion boards so that people can discuss things without getting spoiled.

My Favorite Series

I first began reading this series when I was in middle or high school. At the time, the series was still in progress and I would reread the beginning of the series when a new book came out if it had been awhile. This happened a few times and I’m honestly not sure how many times I’ve read each book. I remember starting to reread this series when the second to last book came out (or maybe the last one!) and I never completed the reread. Basically what I’m trying to say is that I’ve never actually read the last book (or two) in the series.

This is my favorite series of all time,
partially because I grew up reading them and have read some of the books so many times but its also an amazing world with characters I’m so attached to. Over the last couple years, I have started to reread this series on audiobook because I REALLY want to know how the series ends. This is really a great series for rereading because there are lots of things you learn in later books that make earlier scenes or books more meaningful. I’m getting so much out of these rereads so far and I’m really excited to discuss these books with other people! I’ve read up to the 4th book in my latest reread and it was my favorite so far. I haven’t gotten to the point in the series that I don’t remember the events occurring. I’m actually looking forward to that point so that I can have some surprises slash things I didn’t remember happen.

If you’re interested in joining us, please join our Goodreads group to stay up to date on the readalong!
